I’m Liat, a doula, Placenta Encapsulation Specialist, Mother Roaster, and Mothering Arts Leader. I live in Albuquerque, NM with my amazing husband and our three bright, adorable sons. I love tie dying, knitting, baking and reading. I’m from Tucson, I enjoy Latin dancing, doing capoeira, spending time with my family and being involved in the community.
I have always been intrigued by women's health, especially related to pregnancy, birth and postpartum. Growing up, I pictured myself working with mothers and babies. I decided to become a doula after having my own children and realizing how important support during this time is for a new family. My own experiences shaped my path; I gave birth to both of my sons in a hospital with the help of midwives and a doula, my sister.
It’s important for women and families to know they aren’t alone during pregnancy, birth and postpartum; This is a life-changing event and you deserve support! I’m here to help you find your own inner strength and self-confidence. This means that I will be there for you and your family, before the birth, during the birth and after the birth. Postpartum support is my real passion and what I am focusing on at the moment.
I’m open to all types of birth, parenting styles, and living situations. I welcome and accept LGBTQ people, single mothers and teenage mothers, as well as families in other special situations. As a doula, I am there for the whole family, helping you during this most special and sacred time of your life.
In addition, I am always learning! I love completing education related to birth and parenting. To learn more about my training, click here.
